Ingredients

  • 1 duck, prepared to cook
  • 8 apples, cut into big pieces
  • 1 1/2 tsp. of Maple syrup
  • Salt & pepper
  • Montreal chicken seasoning

Directions

Cut the apples and place in slow cooker.

Slow-Cooked Duck-with apples4 Take duck from the bag and remove neck and liver. Rinse under cool water.

Add salt, pepper, and seasoning and put the apples into the duck.

Slow-Cooked Duck-with apples5 Place the duck in the crockpot. Cover and cook on the high level for 3 hours or until tender.

Slow-Cooked Duck-with apples7Heat oven to 375 F. Remove the duck from the slow cooker and cover with Maple syrup.

Place in the oven for 20 – 30 mins to crisp up.
Slow-Cooked Duck-with apples9If you like potatoes, you could cut them and cook them with the duck in the oven.
When the duck is ready and the potatoes are brown. The apples would have already turned into a sauce in the slow cooker, so when you are ready you can carve and plate up.
